Competitors must be eligible to compete under A.S.A. Law. Competing Swimmers MUST be registered with their Governing body. Competitors may only swim for one club in the Championships.

INFORMATION SHEET
These Championships are held in accordance with the following conditions:- Competitors shall be eligible to compete under A.S.A. Laws, and must be registered swimmers. Competitors may only swim for one club in the Championships. Age shall be as at the 31st December 2010 except for 18 years swimmers where it is age on 15th May 2010
AGE GROUPS A 25-29 yrs B 30-34 yrs C 35-39 yrs D 40-44 yrs E 45-49 yrs F 50-54 yrs G 55-59 yrs H 60-64 yrs J 65-69 yrs K 70-74 yrs L 75 yrs and over S 18-24 yrs
INDIVIDUAL EVENTS For all Age Groups 50m, 100m and 200m Freestyle 50m and 100m Backstroke, Butterfly and Breaststroke 100m and 200m Ind. Medley.
TEAM EVENTS Age Groups shall be 72+ yrs, 100+ yrs, 140+ yrs, 180+ yrs and 220+ yrs (combined ages of 4 team members) Clubs may enter more than one team in each Age Group Individuals may only swim in one team in each event. All events will be HEAT DECLARED WINNER in each age classification.
Two Trophies have been kindly donated to these Championships. The Margaret Pickering Trophy is awarded to the top Female swimmer from a club affiliated to Yorkshire. The Walter Pickering Trophy is awarded to the top Male swimmer from a club affiliated to Yorkshire. The points will be awarded 3 points for the highest placed Yorkshire swimmer, 2 points for second highest placed Yorkshire swimmer and 1 point for third highest placed Yorkshire swimmer when there are 3 or more Yorkshire swimmers competing in the event. For events with only 2 Yorkshire swimmers competing in the event the points will be 2 points for the highest placed Yorkshire swimmer and 1 point for second highest placed Yorkshire swimmer. For events with only 1 Yorkshire swimmer competing in the event that swimmer will receive 1 point. A ‘Yorkshire swimmer’ is one that has entered in the name of a club affiliated to the Yorkshire Swimming Association.
The SMALL POOL will only be available after the Warm Up in the main pool for Warm Up and Swim Down. Only competitors taking part in the event will be allowed the use of the small pool.
MEDALS: 1-2-3 Medals should be collected as soon as possible after the result is confirmed. DO NOT LEAVE THE COLLECTION OF MEDALS UNTIL THE END OF THE SESSION
ENTRY FEES shall be: INDIVIDUALS £4.00 per event TEAMS £8.00 This will be a ‘NO CARDS MEET’ (Cheques to be payable to ‘Yorkshire A.S.A.’) Entry Closing date is 17th April, 2010
