AIM: The Scholarship is promoted by the Yorkshire Swimming Association to provide the opportunity for a Yorkshire swimmer to receive financial support towards either:
The award would recognise the achievement of a swimmer at County level and above.
CRITERIA: The scholarship to be open to any swimmer who is a bona-fide member of a Yorkshire Swimming Association club. Swimmers will be eligible within the age group of 14-16 years of age (as at 31st December 2007) Nominations to be made in writing, by either the Secretary of an affiliated club or the club coach, by way of a citation on the official application form. A club may only make one nomination.

Specific criteria to be considered: Personal development; training environment; potential; contribution to Yorkshire Swimming.
AWARD: A bursary of £300 together with a perpetual trophy and suitable memento will be presented to the winner at the first Yorkshire Gala in 2008.
APPLICATIONS: Completed forms to be sent to the address on the download form to arrive not later than the 1st November 2007.
The winner will be decided by the Yorkshire Swimming Association Swimming Committee. Should there be no nominations then the Swimming Committee shall select a suitable winner based on the criteria.
The recipient of the trophy will be announced at the Executive meeting to be held on Wednesday 14th November 2007. |
