DISABILITY SWIMMERS.

Disabled swimmers will be allowed to enter the Yorkshire Championships and Winter Competition this year. They must be in possession of the recognised IPC documentation which will be handed to the referees. Please indicate that they are disabled on the entry form and include their Classification. See Disability Swimming.

GALA Processing

Most clubs will receive an entries disk for both Senior/Junior and Age groups for those clubs who send entries on disk. Please note that in the Senior/Junior Gala, a junior swimmer must be UNDER 16 on February 3rd 2008.

We will not be using Entry Cards for the 2008 galas. Each club will be sent a printout of the events their swimmers have been entered in. Please check these as soon as possible and contact me if there are any errors or omissions.

A draft program will be published on this web site www.yorkshireswimming.org. very soon after the closing date for entries. Please check this as well, as the master program will be processed about a week later and sent to the printers.

When filling in entry forms will you pay particular attention to getting the dates of birth correct? Please use the format i.e. John SMITH. Double check the entry times remembering that swimmers age must be as at that shown on the entry forms. i.e. 16th March 2008 for the Age Group galas.. The qualifying times are in the meet administration computer program so anyone entered outside these times will be automatically rejected.

Also please don’t send entries by recorded or special delivery. These usually arrive late as there is not always anyone in to receive them, and someone has to get up early and go to the delivery office to collect them. All that is required is a proof of posting. This does not cost you any extra. I always contact the clubs if I have not received their entries in time.

 NOTE  All entries must be sent via their club’s Championship Secretaries. I will not accept individual Entries.
