YORKSHIRE WATER POLO
There are many water polo teams affiliated to Yorkshire SA, either as specialist clubs or as part of a swimming club. Most of these teams play in either of the two leagues affiliated to Yorkshire SA or participate in the National Men’s Water polo league and/or the national women’s water polo league. There are some clubs that have junior teams (born 1991,1993 or 1995 and later) who play in junior leagues administered by the two leagues affiliated to Yorkshire SA. Some clubs have ladies, men’s, junior (mixed gender) teams under the one club, others only have senior teams. A few clubs do mini polo as a stepping stone to playing water polo and improving and developing their teams There are some clubs that have water polo as part of their activities but do not compete in leagues.
The clubs are spread around the Yorkshire SA region, which includes north and north east Lincolnshire.
Listed below are the leagues and clubs affiliated to Yorkshire SA whom the county is aware of participate in water polo, all of whom would be pleased to accept new participants, either having played before or never tried the sport. If you are the secretary or organizer of a club that has water polo as one of your groups of aquatic disciplines and not in the list below, please contact the county SA water polo secretary who will add you to the list on the website and identify your club for water polo specific information, e.g. courses, competitions and available grants for development (through the water polo development officer)
If you are an individual who wishes to have a go or return to the sport, please contact the county water polo secretary with details of the club nearest to you or are interested in contacting, and he will forward it to the appropriate person to contact you.
